The article not only provides specific recommendations, but addresses an essential issue I rarely see: The risk to people's careers, at different stages of their careers, from pushing back.

After spending 5-10 years getting a PhD, it's not realistic to expect people to risk their future. It is realistic to evaluate that risk, and how it varies at different career stages.
